EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As a Terminal Operator (Bargaining Unit, Local Union No. 809) you are driven by a deep commitment to the mission of excellence in maintaining Massport facilities. You take pride in creating safe and clean environments through meticulous building and grounds maintenance, including responsible pest control and landscape care. With a proactive approach, you promptly address repairs, debris removal, and snow management to ensure seamless and secure terminal operations. By skillfully operating heavy equipment and being prepared for emergencies, you significantly contribute to Massport's mission of providing safe, efficient, and sustainable services for travelers and the community.What you will do: Perform general building and grounds maintenance, including cleaning, landscaping, and pest control.Handle minor repairs on buildings, signs, roads, parking lots, and machinery.Respond to emergencies such as hazardous spills and water line breaks.Operate a variety of heavy equipment and perform preventive maintenance as directed, while actively assisting in facility setup and operations, including preparing gangways and assisting travelers during embarkation or disembarkation.
