Craftsman Technology Group is seeking a
Systems Administrator to join our Central team who will bring these same values and passion to help nonprofit organizations. A Systems Administrator is a full-time salaried intermediate-level position.
Job Summary:
In this in-office role, you will work closely with the Senior Director, Technical Services to support the company’s internal applications, focusing on all internal IT Operations processes which rely heavily on Microsoft 365 and Atlassian but also including secondary applications like Zoom and Slack. You will provide both break-fix application support to our user base of 60+ employees, as well as participate in structured quarterly improvement and enhancement projects to ensure our systems usage grows and evolves along with our company growth. You will oversee our fleet of laptops and other systems requiring you to be present in our main headquarters in Boston, MA.
You will be a key role in remote desktop and IT support for both our Boston office as well as our remote staff. You will be responsible for effectively onboarding and offboarding staff and clients as needed and will also work with staff to implement broader IT projects such as consolidating disparate systems and ensuring compliance with various policies, regulations and certifications.
You will be required to be in the Boston office five (5) days a week by default. Some flexibility to work from home is available - but the standard week requires being in-office.
Job Responsibilities:
Microsoft 365
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 including SharePoint and OneDrive
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and licenses
- Implement and maintain security policies and compliance measures
- Provide end-user support and training for Microsoft 365 applications
- Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard data and applications
- Coordinate support efforts and escalate to senior staff or external support vendors as needed
- Manage and implement broader internal initiatives across the firm
Atlassian
- Administer and configure the Atlassian suite of tools, primarily Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence
- Manage and troubleshoot automation issues
- Establish and maintain a retention policy for completed projects and offboarded users
- Evaluate and manage the usage of 3rd party Atlassian applications to meet team and business needs
IT Operations, secondary applications, IT project implementation, and In-office Assistance
- Manage users and their permissions, including creation of new users during onboarding and deactivation during offboarding
- Ensure accurate and timely inventory, purchasing plans and reports to senior staff
- Implement firm-wide IT initiatives around system consolidation, content management, security improvements and policy compliance
- Setup new laptops and send new or refurbished laptops to our staff located across the country
- Troubleshoot system issues and outages
- Ensure permissions and visibility structures align with current organizational needs
- Provide training, user guidance, and support to business leaders and end-users
- Manage IT inventory and occasionally support basic office needs
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years' experience with Microsoft 365 administration and desktop support
- Network and endpoint management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm and curiosity for learning new systems
- Capacity to troubleshoot and solve technical issues promptly
- Efficiency in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Experience working within or supporting/providing services in the nonprofit sector
- Sharp attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Atlassian administration
- Knowledge of JQL/SQL or similar query language
- Nonprofit sector experience
