Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Badge Assistance in Needham Heights, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist visitors and tenants with professionalism, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and property concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and the public while supporting a welcoming environment and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
