our commitment to equity. JOB GOALS: To maintain the school plant in a
condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may
be made at all times. DUTIES: Determines which repair jobs may be
performed by craftsmen, custodians, and maintenance workers on the staff
and which must be performed by outside contractors, and advises
administration accordingly. Recommends supplies and equipment for
purchase, and maintains the inventory of district-owned hand tools,
equipment, hardware, materials and supplies. Consults with
administration on a regular basis for needed repairs and maintenance.
Establishes and recommends priorities on repair projects Estimates cost
of repair projects in terms of labor, materials, and overhead. Performs
routine maintenance or other electrically related repairs or replacement
work as replacing worn or defective wiring, switches, faucets, plumbing
fictures, locks, door hardware and the like. Repairs fencing, asphalt,
concrete, walls, ceilings, and the like. Develops a system for dealing
with emergency repair problems with efficiency. Performs larger grounds
and tree work and works with custodians to maintain grounds. Orders
materials as needed, and makes recommendations of supplies and equipment
for purchase Must perform snow removal and sanding work during storms
and off hours. Performs minor repairs and maintenance to small engine
grounds equipment and vehicles. Maintains such personnel and other
records as are required. Other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager
or designee. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Massachusetts Driver?s License Good
physical condition Demonstrated ability to work with others as part of a
team Some experience working with dump trucks and equipment powered by a
