What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and test libraries of microbial cells for diverse sugar polymer production.
- Create experimental workflows and collect quantitative measurements, including flow cytometry, omics, and structural analysis.
- Collaborate frequently with the Metabolic Engineering and Polymer Chemistry teams to optimize sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways in the production strains.
- Communicate methods and results both internally with the team, and externally with other scientists, industry executives, and academic researchers.
- Contribute to the generation and documentation of intellectual property
Who You are
- Passionate about sustainability
- Excited to be part of a fast-paced startup
- Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Biological Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related fields.
- 3+ years of research experience in an academic or industry lab setting.
- Skilled in molecular biology, genome editing, microbial culture techniques.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Quantitative data analysis expertise.
- Experience in -omics, analytical techniques, and software development is a plus.
