Ecommerce Operations Coordinator Caskata Artisanal Home | Framingham, MA | In Office (Hybrid Considered)
We set a beautiful table. We need someone to make sure everything behind it runs beautifully, too.
At Caskata, we design dinnerware, glassware, and kitchen textiles for people who believe gathering around a beautifully set table is a form of love. Our small, passionate team approaches our work the way our customers approach their homes: with intention, care, and a lot of attention to detail.
We're growing rapidly and looking for an Operations Coordinator who wants to grow with us, helping to keep our systems running efficiently and accurately. This isn't a role where you'll be handed a playbook and told to follow it. It's a hands-on, learn-as-you-go position for a person who's genuinely curious about how growing ecommerce businesses work, excited to dig into the details, and ready to take real ownership from day one.
Why This Role Exists
We run a multi-platform ecommerce business: Shopify Plus for our storefront, QuickBooks Online for financials, Extensiv for order and warehouse management, and a 3PL that handles fulfillment of our heavy, fragile goods. Keeping these systems humming and making sure the data flowing between them is clean and accurate is essential work for a growing brand like ours.
Part of this job will also be keeping an eye on the numbers, including inventory planning, stock tracking, and purchase order management, as they become increasingly important as we expand into new products and categories. If you’ve got a head for numbers, a comfort with Excel, and like to stay organized and ahead of the data we’d love to meet you.
We'll train you in our specific systems and processes. What we can't train is intellectual curiosity, a love of getting things right, an instinct for noticing when something's off and a desire to fix it.
What You'll Do
- Monitor the integrations between our key platforms and flag or escalate issues when something's not syncing correctly (you won't be coding these yourself, but you'll be the person who knows when something's wrong and works with support and our dev team to get it resolved)
- Build and maintain Excel-based reporting and models around inventory, orders, and operational KPIs including scenario planning to help us think through purchasing and stock decisions
- Support inventory planning: track stock levels, help draft purchase orders, and flag potential stock-outs before they become problems
- Document processes and help build repeatable workflows so institutional knowledge is written down, not just remembered
- Work cross-functionally with our small team on product launches, new category expansions, and day-to-day operational needs
You'll Thrive Here If:
- You have 1–3 years of experience in ecommerce operations, inventory management, retail buying, logistics, or a closely related role or a strong internship or academic background in a relevant field
- You're genuinely comfortable in Excel: pivot tables, building models, stress-testing scenarios. This is a meaningful part of the job
- You have a basic understanding of how software systems connect and talk to each other. You don't need to be a developer, but you shouldn't be intimidated by an integration or an API error message
- You're interested in how ecommerce businesses actually operate from supply and fulfillment to the order flow and delivery, and of course, the inventory math
- You're a self-starter who thrives in a startup environment: things move fast, priorities shift, and the person who figures it out is more valuable than the person who waits to be told
- You communicate clearly and kindly. This is a small team; we depend on each other
- You have an appreciation for well-made, beautifully designed products. You don't need a background in home décor, but people who care about craft and design tend to love it here
What It's Like to Work Here
Our team is small, tight-knit, and full of people who care about doing good work and genuinely love the products we make. Ideas are welcomed from everyone. We're growing fast, but we haven't lost what makes this place feel worth showing up for.
This role is based in our Framingham office, in a collaborative environment. While we're open to a hybrid schedule we're really looking for someone who genuinely wants to be part of the team in person in the office.
Caskata is an equal opportunity employer. We believe diverse teams make better work and we welcome applicants of all backgrounds.
