Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paralegal role based in Boston, MA. The Paralegal will support attorneys in matters involving housing, condominium, and commercial property law by preparing and organizing legal documents, filings, and correspondence. Responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, reviewing and summarizing documents, and maintaining accurate case files and case management systems. The role also involves communicating with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties in a professional and timely manner. The Paralegal will assist with hearing and trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, drafting basic pleadings and motions under attorney supervision, and tracking deadlines and court dates.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in law related to civil litigation, housing, condominium, or real estate matters.
- Proficiency in legal document preparation, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, contracts, and court filings.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and third parties.
- Advanced research and document review skills, including using legal research tools and synthesizing findings clearly and accurately.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with common legal software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program preferred; relevant legal experience will also be considered.
- Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in litigation, real estate, or housing law practice is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an office-based team and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
