About Longview Strategies:
At Longview Strategies, we believe powerful communications can drive meaningful change. We work in complex, high-stakes industries where great communications can shape how a company is understood by its buyers, its investors, and its market. From cybersecurity/IT and medtech to finance and sustainability, we help industry-defining leaders clarify their message, elevate their voice, and build influence where it matters most.
We're growing — and we're looking for a Senior Vice President of Strategic Communications to help shape what comes next. It takes a rare kind of communicator to lead this work: someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and client leadership, who gets energized by hard problems and ambitious companies, and who isn't above rolling up their sleeves to execute alongside the team when the moment calls for it. If that's you, let's talk.
What You'll Do:
As an SVP on the Strategic Communications team, you'll set the strategic direction for our client relationships and help lead the team that delivers the work. You'll:
- Lead Senior Client Counsel: Serve as a trusted strategic advisor across a portfolio of key accounts, guiding high-level direction, ensuring alignment with client goals, and proactively bringing ideas that move the business forward.
- Set Messaging Strategy: Translate complex topics into clear, compelling narratives and positioning frameworks that advance client thought leadership and visibility at the highest level.
- Lead Teams and Deliverables: Mentor and guide account leads, and oversee our writing, design, and PR teams to ensure work is on brand, on message, and on time.
- Drive Media Relations Strategy: Shape pitch strategy, secure high-impact placements, and elevate clients' voices in the market.
- Roll Up Your Sleeves: Jump in to execute directly when the work calls for it — whether that's sharpening a key message, stepping into a high-stakes pitch, or getting hands-on to help the team land it.
- Own Impact and Growth: Set KPIs, oversee reporting, refine strategy based on performance, and contribute to new business and the firm's continued growth.
Who You Are:
- A strategic leader – You love digging into a brief, identifying the key insight, and crafting messaging that hits the mark — and you can set the direction for others to follow.
- A strong writer and communicator – You distill complexity into clarity across formats: memos, messaging docs, thought leadership, and pitch decks.
- A hands-on partner – You lead from the front and aren't afraid to do the work yourself when it matters, anticipating needs and raising your hand when something's off.
- Organized and adaptable – You know how to run a process, manage competing priorities, and adapt quickly when things shift.
- Tech- and AI-savvy – You have a track record of using digital tools to streamline workflows, and a fearless drive to explore and adopt emerging AI solutions.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in strategic communications, media relations, and content strategy within an agency or consulting environment, including team and account leadership
- Experience with B2B clients, especially in sectors like finance, IT/cybersecurity, sustainability, or medtech
- Exceptional writing, project management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead client relationships and internal teams with professionalism, warmth, and clarity
- Media relations and thought leadership expertise required
