We are hiring an Estimator to join our growing team!
The Estimator will be the leader of the estimating team, responsible for preparing budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages for construction projects. This includes collaborating with the General Trades estimators, project management teams, and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely estimates for both large-scale projects ($10-40M) and smaller projects (less than $10M). The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in preconstruction and estimating, with a strong understanding of construction costs, risks, and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Estimating Team in the execution and timely delivery of full-scope estimates for construction projects.
- Conduct initial analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure completeness and determine scope of work.
- Develop estimates based on various construction delivery methods (Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM/GC) and project phases.
- Critically analyze bid documents, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and communicate these insights to management.
- Organize and lead the bid team, providing direction on means and methods, schedules, and strategies.
- Participate in technical proposals for Alternative Delivery projects.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for specific trades as needed.
- Create accurate crew and production cost estimates, collaborating with the estimating team to review prices.
- Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing inputs as necessary.
- Attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews.
- Develop unit costs accurately and maintain consistent cost history for projects.
- Review plans and specifications for all categories of work, including civil/site construction, structural systems, mechanical systems, and more.
- Monitor actual cost versus estimated cost, ensuring that project cost history is maintained.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring that the company's core values are upheld and customer expectations are met. ess.

Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years of preconstruction/estimating experience, with a focus on commercial and industrial construction projects.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
