Sanofi’s contingent workforce program, FLEXT Direct, is seeking a highly motivated
Scientist I to join the Analytical Development group within the Genomic Medicine Unit BioAnalytics team.
In this role, you will support the development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods used for characterization and release testing of viral and non-viral therapeutics supporting gene therapy and clinical development programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sample testing and assay development activities
- Develop and validate PCR-based assays and related analytical methods
- Support gene therapy development within a cGMP laboratory environment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and strong attention to detail
- Participate primarily in laboratory-based work with limited meeting responsibilities
Qualifications
- MS degree with 2+ years of industry experience OR
- BS degree with 4–6 years of industry experience OR
- Recent PhD graduates encouraged to apply
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Strong background in qPCR, dPCR, or ddPCR
- Experience with QuantStudio 5 PCR System preferred
- Molecular biology or cell biology background preferred
- Assay development experience preferred
- Next-generation sequencing (NGS) experience preferred
- Cell culture and bioassay experience is a plus
- GMP/cGMP experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
