Position Overview
Southside Tees is seeking a talented, creative, and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys creating apparel-ready artwork while collaborating directly with customers and our production staff.
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for preparing artwork for screen printing and embroidery, creating custom apparel designs, managing online store graphics, and ensuring all files are production-ready and meet company quality standards. Experience creating artwork/vectors for print is IMPORTANT.
Key Responsibilities
- Create custom apparel graphics and merchandise designs for a variety of clients and industries.
- Prepare, clean up, and separate artwork for screen printing production.
- Convert customer-provided artwork into print-ready vector files.
- Create and edit embroidery-ready artwork and digitizing instructions.
- Design mockups and proofs for customer approval.
- Manage and update graphics for company and client online stores.
- Communicate with customers regarding artwork revisions and design concepts.
- Ensure artwork meets production specifications for screen printing, embroidery, DTF, and promotional products.
- Maintain organized digital file systems and artwork archives.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and production teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Assist with marketing materials, social media graphics, website graphics, and promotional campaigns as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of vector artwork creation and file preparation.
- Experience designing for apparel decoration, screen printing, embroidery, or promotional products preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of embroidery digitizing software is a plus.
- Previous print shop or apparel industry experience preferred but not required.
