About the RoleWe're looking for a detail-oriented Product Manager to work closely with our Director of Product and own our product delivery process, with the goal of evolving into owning a full product vertical as we grow, including customer discovery and roadmap ownership. From the outset, this role will own prioritization of technical tasks, tech debt, bug reports, and requests from internal and external stakeholders against strategic company priorities. The ideal candidate has experience owning the full delivery lifecycle, strong stakeholder management skills, and a technical background that enables them to engage effectively with engineering teams.
What You'll DoTicket Management & Delivery
- Own the full product delivery lifecycle for our software and internal reporting workstreams
- Coordinate with the Director of Product on key projects, roadmap management, backlog grooming, and opportunities for iteration
- Translate epics and finalized designs into well-scoped stories that outline the why and the what, leaving space for engineering to define the how
- Coordinate prioritization of technical tasks, tech debt, bug reports, and internal and external stakeholder requests against strategic company priorities
- Manage grooming and planning ceremonies to ensure the team has clarity on our priorities and can move forward without ambiguity
- Create project plans as needed to manage dependencies across multiple workstreams, escalating blockers or risks that could impact timelines
- Own Jira management, ensuring sprint boards, backlogs, and fix versions are accurate and reliable
- Flag scope creep or requirement changes to the Director of Product
- Manage handoffs between design, engineering, and QA
- Continuously evaluate our delivery process and own the implementation of improvements that increase team clarity, velocity, or quality.
- Surface iteration opportunities observed during delivery and coordinate with the Director of Product to validate and prioritize them
QA & Validation
- Oversee pre-QA acceptance reviews and coordinate regression issues identified in QA, ensuring features are validated before advancing through the release process
- Manage test scenarios with the QA team and identify coverage gaps across manual and automated testing
- Lead UAT and stakeholder sign-off sessions, applying an agreed upon Definition of Done to confirm features are complete and ready for release
- Perform post-release acceptance reviews in production to confirm successful delivery
Go To Market
- Own the logistics and cross-team coordination for product launches, ensuring teams are aligned on timing, sequencing, and readiness
- Ensure proper tracking is in place prior to launch to monitor progress against stated outcomes
- Manage release notes, summarizing the why behind what shipped to keep stakeholders informed and aligned
Stakeholder Engagement
- Drive stakeholder alignment by managing RACI frameworks across active product initiatives
- Meet regularly with stakeholders to provide status updates on their priorities, intake new requests, and support prioritization decisions
What We're Looking For- 1 to 3 years of Product Management experience
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a track record of catching requirement gaps before they reach development
- Hands-on experience with Jira, including ticket creation, epic management, grooming, and sprint planning
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between design, engineering, and operations
- Proactive and organized with a delivery mindset
Nice to Have- Technical background or experience working closely with engineering teams, with the ability to translate requirements across front-end and back-end disciplines
- Prior experience in a software engineering, QA, or technical program management role
- Experience coordinating go-to-market launches across multiple teams or functions
- Experience in the philanthropic sector, fintech, or B2B SaaS (including APIs)
- Exposure to ops or reporting support workflows
What Success Looks Like30 days
- Solid understanding of our product, tech stack, team workflows, and active initiatives
- Clear view of our delivery process and where you can start adding immediate value
60 days
- Full ownership of Jira management, release notes, and QA coordination
- Assume existing stakeholder syncs and related prioritization conversations
90 days
- Full ownership of all ceremonies and related workstreams, with your first full release cycle completed end-to-end with post-release acceptance completed
- At least one process improvement identified and implemented that increases team clarity, velocity, or quality
6 months
- Full ownership of prioritization across technical tasks, tech debt, bug reports, and internal and external stakeholder requests
- Delivery is running with minimal involvement from the Director of Product
- Pre-groomed backlog is at least two sprints ahead per our roadmap
- You’ve surfaced at least one product iteration idea that has been validated and prioritized for the roadmap
12+ months
- Expanded scope to own a full product vertical, including customer discovery and roadmap ownership
What You’ll GetThe listed annual base salary reflects a nationwide market range, encompassing a broad spectrum of compensation for this position. Individual offers are tailored based on a variety of factors, including role complexity, geographic location, and the specific skills, training, and professional experience of the candidate, among other employment conditions.
