Overview
Bay State Eye Associates is looking for a personable, team-oriented Optometrist who enjoys providing full-scope eye care in a family-friendly, independent practice setting. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with children, fitting contact lenses, making thoughtful recommendations to patients, and providing care in a busy but personal environment.
This is a great opportunity for an Optometrist who wants to be part of a growing independent practice where patient care still feels personal — not factory-style. For the right candidate, there may also be an opportunity to grow into an associate role within the practice.
Bay State Eye Associates | Massachusetts
Bay State Eye Associates is an independently owned, growing optometric practice in Massachusetts, and we are looking for a personable, patient-focused Optometrist to join our team.
We are not looking for someone who wants to simply “get through the schedule.” We are looking for a doctor who enjoys full-scope eye care, values relationships with patients, works well with a team, and wants to be part of a practice that continues to grow in a thoughtful and personal way.
Our office is busy, established, and family-friendly. We see a wide range of patients, including children, families, contact lens wearers, and patients who need more individualized care and education. We want a doctor who is comfortable making recommendations, explaining options clearly, and helping patients feel confident in their eye care.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who is clinically confident, kind, approachable, and comfortable working in a busy practice environment while still keeping patient care personal.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive eye exams
- Seeing an average of approximately 3 patients per hour
- Working comfortably with children and families
- Fitting and managing contact lens patients
- Making appropriate lens, treatment, and eye care recommendations
- Educating patients in a clear and approachable way
- Documenting exams in OfficeMate EHR
- Working closely with the optical and support team
- Helping support continued practice growth
Experience with dry eye care is a plus, but not required. Bilingual candidates are also strongly encouraged to apply.
About Our Practice

We want our patients to feel seen, heard, and taken care of — not rushed through a system. This is a great opportunity for a doctor who wants to practice meaningful optometry in a personal setting, while still being part of a fast-paced and growing office.
There may also be an opportunity for the right candidate to grow into an associate role within the practice.
