We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support a healthcare organization in Boston, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract opportunity will focus on advising leaders and employees across a wide range of HR matters while helping maintain efficient daily operations. The role combines employee relations expertise, compliance oversight, and hands-on support for core HR processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Advise managers and staff on employee relations issues, including performance concerns, corrective action, workplace matters, and policy application.
• Support core human resources activities such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee record updates.
• Partner with internal teams and external providers to resolve payroll or benefits questions and address related service issues.
• Provide functional assistance for HR technology platforms by troubleshooting problems, serving as backup support, and helping sustain business continuity.
• Monitor adherence to employment regulations at the federal, state, and local levels, including wage and hour and leave-related requirements.
• Review HR files, transactions, and processes through regular audits to identify errors, strengthen controls, and reduce organizational risk.
• Examine employee concerns and workplace complaints, document findings, and recommend practical resolutions.
• Contribute to talent operations by assisting with recruitment activity, onboarding documentation, and new employee integration.
• Prepare reports and evaluate HR data to identify trends in staffing, payroll, benefits, and employee activity, while supporting informed decision-making.
• Lead or support training, process improvement efforts, and special projects, and may provide guidance or oversight to HR team members as needed.
• At least 1 year of experience in human resources, including exposure to employee relations and day-to-day HR operations.
• Working knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, and personnel transaction processing.
• Familiarity with employment law compliance, including wage and hour requirements and leave regulations.
• Ability to investigate workplace issues, maintain documentation, and handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Experience using HR systems and databases, with strong troubleshooting and data entry capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping, filing, auditing, and process review.
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to respond to inquiries, support training efforts, and collaborate across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a healthcare, hospital, or social assistance environment.
