Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM) is the state’s leading provider of sexual and reproductive health care, nationally recognized for education and research. Our mission: ensure everyone in Massachusetts has access to compassionate, judgment-free care and education. We operate four health centers and offer telehealth statewide as part of a network of 600 Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide.
Position Summary
The Health Center Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the PPLM health center in Springfield, MA in partnership with the Health Center Director and clinical leadership. This role ensures smooth clinic operations, strong staff leadership, regulatory compliance, and a high-quality, patient-centered experience.
The Health Center Manager works collaboratively with site leadership and staff to plan, implement, and lead quality improvement initiatives using data-driven decision-making. The role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to PPLM’s mission and values.
Your Day to Day:
- Manage daily health center operations, staffing, scheduling, and patient flow
- Supervise unlicensed staff and Team Leads; support performance and development
- Monitor budget, productivity, visit volume, and operational metricsUse data to drive quality improvement and patient experience initiatives
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, MDPH, Title X, and organizational standards
- Partner with HR on hiring, training, and performance management
- Oversee appointment templates, cash handling, inventory, and facilities coordination
- Address patient complaints and risk management issues collaboratively
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 3-7 years of staff management experience preferred
- Healthcare or clinical operations experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual a plus (Spanish, Mandarin, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, or Portuguese strongly preferred)
