Perch Energy has an immediate opening for a
Senior Director of Operational Excellence, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. This role may also be elevated to Vice President depending on the applicant’s years of experience in Community Solar, business and technical acumen, and ability to craft and deliver end to end performance improvements within our operating environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leading continuous improvement and the standardization of key operational processes, and must drive cost synergies through simplification and automation. You must be able to work proactively to engage internal and external stakeholders to deliver value for our company, developers and subscribers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Technical & Business teams to establish test scenarios for new or enhanced platform features
- Ensure User Acceptance Testing (UAT) meets scope and business requirements prior to signoff for go/ no go and production
- Map and maintain key operation process flows, routinely review and assess Operations processes to identify areas of opportunity, and recommend & lead the implementation of approved solutions
- Utilize methodologies such as Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, PDCA and DMAIC to drive process improvement and waste reduction
- Collaborate with Sr. Director of Customer Operations, other business leaders, and 3rd party experts to deliver AI solutions, and drive reduction in cost and issue resolution time
- Work closely with global employee network & automation teams to deliver 50% of 4M project by YE2026
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations and Technology to simplify and standardize customer management, reducing total time to enroll, onboard, and allocate by 30% by Q1 2027.
- Work with other Operations leaders to refine processes, and establish best practices to achieve and maintain core KPIs
- Lead demos and workshops, inspire collaborative brainstorming and develop a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Deliver business review of operational improvements to the Leadership team on a quarterly basis
- Serve as a key stakeholder for ongoing migration and ingestion of large community solar portfolios
- Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to simply and standardize processes across Operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Economics Business Administration or a closely related degree. Master’s degree considered a plus
- 4+ years of Community Solar experience
- 3+ years of technical or project management experience, specifically user acceptance testing, and working closely with Product & Project Managers, and Developers
- Six Sigma certified, Kaizen, PDCA or DMAIC experience is a plus
- Must have strong attention to detail, change management and time management skills
- Executive-level verbal and written communication skills, plus high quality execution of deliverables is required
- Advanced MS Excel & Powerpoint is required. Salesforce experience, data management, BI tools, and proficiency with SQL a plus
- Proven track record of strong cross team collaboration
- Ability to problem solve, find creative solutions, troubleshoot and build out best practices
