Duties
- Handle incoming calls with enthusiasm, providing clear and courteous assistance to customers across multiple languages when applicable
- Respond to inquiries related to medical services, appointments, billing, and general information with accuracy and professionalism
- Utilize computer systems to document interactions, update patient records, and enter data efficiently and precisely
- Follow established phone etiquette protocols to ensure each caller feels valued and understood
- Assist callers by explaining medical terminology in understandable terms and guiding them through necessary procedures or next steps
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex issues through analysis skills and effective communication
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with privacy regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Bilingual abilities are highly preferred, especially in English plus one additional language to serve diverse populations effectively
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in data entry, electronic health records (EHR), or customer management systems
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with a friendly phone manner and active listening abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus but can be learned on the job for motivated candidates
- Demonstrated ability to analyze situations quickly and provide appropriate solutions in a professional manner
- Previous customer service experience is preferred; enthusiasm for helping others is essential
