Responsibilities
- Assist with the demolition of buildings, walls, fixtures, and other structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment under supervision.
- Safely remove debris, hazardous materials, and recyclable materials from job sites to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and instructions to ensure demolition tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Support the disassembly of components such as cabinetry, doors, windows, roofing materials, and concrete structures.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools including drills, saws, hammers, and jackhammers with proper safety procedures.
- Assist with site preparation activities such as setting up scaffolding, barricades, and safety signage.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to construction management plans and safety protocols throughout all phases of demolition.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction site work or demolition preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to read basic blueprints or schematics is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
- Basic understanding of construction disciplines such as plumbing, electrical systems, masonry, or carpentry is beneficial.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
