An organization in the energy and policy sector is seeking a detail‑oriented Temporary Copyeditor to review and refine research reports, technical publications, and proposal materials. This role is responsible for ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy across written documents intended for policymakers, regulators, advocates, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread research reports, white papers, proposals, and other publications for grammar, clarity, style, and consistency.
- Ensure adherence to internal style guidelines and formatting standards.
- Review citations, tables, figures, and footnotes for accuracy and uniformity.
- Collaborate with authors to clarify language while preserving technical intent.
- Support tight publication timelines with careful, high‑quality edits.
- Customize proposal templates to meet specific RFP requirements.
- Coordinate and update proposal materials as needed.
- Demonstrated experience copyediting technical, policy, or research‑based documents.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong command of grammar and style.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, including styles, track changes, and advanced formatting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Agent tools.
- Background or interest in energy, environmental, or public policy topics.
- Experience compiling materials for proposals and RFP responses.
- Experience with AI technologies is a plus.
