Role Overview
The Producer oversees project logistics, documentation, staffing, and on-site client experience for high-profile events across the Northeast region. Additionally, this role supports Account Executives with creative direction, budget management, client communication, and overall project coordination to deliver seamless, high-quality results. This is a full-time salaried exempt position based in the Canton, MA office. This position reports to the Executive Producer.
Key Responsibilities - Team Leadership:
- Partner with assigned Project Managers on individual events to provide full-service leadership and project ownership.
- Lead all on-site run crew during the execution of events, providing clear direction and quality assurance to meet client expectations with a calm and solutions-oriented approach.
- Collaboration:
- Work directly with Account Executives to determine client objectives, constraints, success criteria, and decision-making processes while establishing Ansera as a trusted, strategic partner.
- Recognize that our best work is accomplished when we approach projects as a partnership between our clients and our internal teams.
- Oversee a detailed project timeline and monitor progress throughout pre-production to ensure timely production deliverables from all team members.
- Offer technical oversight and support for AE’s and Production staff on projects to ensure event success.
- Regularly fill the Project Manager role on selected events as staffing needs require.
- Client Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, effectively translating their goals and objectives into actionable plans. Manage client expectations, provide regular updates, and ensure a high level of service and satisfaction.
- Budget & Financial Management:
- Manage and reconcile project budgets established by the Account Executive, ensuring profitability and cost-efficiency.
- Logistics & Operations:
- Oversee all logistical elements, including but not limited to event worksheets, production schedules, run-of-show documents, event assets and inventory, staffing requirements, venue parameters, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal requirements.
- Perform quality checks on event rental and labor orders to ensure that events are equipped with full and working systems and mitigate equipment shortages in collaboration with the Operations team.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Conduct post-event debriefs, work with Account Executives to reconcile budgets, and compile comprehensive reports detailing project successes, challenges, and key learnings for future projects.
- Standards and Processes:
- Maintain all necessary records and documentation related to projects and staff & freelance labor.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Producer.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience managing live events, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent customer-service skills and client management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in developing, managing, and reconciling budgets of varying sizes.
- Meticulous organizational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure all aspects of a project are executed flawlessly.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and resourceful approach to navigating unexpected challenges.
- Experience managing crews of various sizes to maximize potential and efficiency.
- Ability to effectively manage stressful situations and act as a calming presence under pressure.
- Knowledge of live-event technical systems.
- Experience working in a Microsoft environment (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Proficiency in Vectorworks software and industry drafting standards.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and be self-motivated.
- Ability to travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and on-site event execution, including working long hours, weekends, and holidays.
