What is the opportunity?
As a Graphic Designer for RBC Global Asset Management, you will be part of the creative team that brings our visual identity to life across all client touchpoints. In this role, you will translate strategic brand direction into polished, impactful design assets—from marketing collateral and social media campaigns to digital experiences, video content, infographics, and internal communications.
What will you do?
- Translate strategic brand direction into compelling visual assets across all channels - from investment communications and campaign materials to digital experiences and client pitchbooks – ensuring every deliverable reinforces RBC GAM's market positioning
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and communications stakeholders from concept through execution, bringing creative problem-solving and design expertise to priority initiatives that drive business impact
- Design and produce high-impact collateral spanning presentations, fact sheets, infographics, email campaigns, video content, web assets, and event materials that communicate investment insights with clarity and visual distinction
- Contribute to our evolving design system and brand standards, ensuring visual consistency and compliance across all touchpoints while maintaining the flexibility to innovate within our established framework
- Partner with internal teams throughout the creative process, building strong relationships and fostering a collaborative environment where design excellence is championed at every stage
- Stay current with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies - including our web framework, motion graphics, animation, and video production capabilities - to continuously elevate the quality and impact of our work
- Manage projects efficiently through established studio workflows, maintaining clear documentation, organisation, and version control to support seamless collaboration and quality delivery
- Prepare design assets to production-ready standards, whether for print, digital, or web deployment, ensuring technical specifications and brand integrity are maintained throughout the delivery process
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor’s degree or similar / strong educational background in Design, Visual Arts, or a related / relevant field
- 5+ years of related design experience in a highly regulated (e.g. financial services, medical, etc.) professional services environment
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma and Microsoft Office with the ability to produce polished, production-ready assets
- Strong foundational knowledge of graphic design principles: typography, colour theory, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing diverse design work across multiple mediums (print, digital, web)
- Proven ability to execute within brand guidelines while applying creative judgment to solve visual challenges
- Understanding of design systems and their role in maintaining consistency across touchpoints
- Experience translating business objectives into compelling visual communications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across marketing, product, and communications teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs
- Experience following a workflow within a project management platform such as Asana, Workfront or Wrike
- Working knowledge of print production specifications and digital/web asset requirements
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute fresh perspectives that elevate visual work
Nice-to-have
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, or video editing software (After Effects, Premiere Pro)
- Knowledge of web design tools (like Figma, Webflow) or front-end development basics
- Background in financial services, asset management, or investment communications
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in marketing communications
- Familiarity with investment industry terminology and audience expectations
- Experience designing for B2B or institutional audiences
- Experience in globally distributed team environments
- Understanding of accessibility standards

The expected salary range for this particular position is $60,500-$104,500, (Boston), $55,000-$95,000, (Minneapolis) depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
