The Role
Ensures customer retention and the profitability of this profit center by leading sales team, working deals, and recruiting qualified sales personnel. Responsible for appraising, purchasing, reconditioning, displaying, and merchandising the pre-owned vehicle inventory.
Job Duties
- Quarterbacks lead process (Initial touch, assignment, next action, video)
- Conducts daily one on one with sales staff.
- Recruit, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all used-vehicle sales employees.
- Monitor sales performance and complete daily and monthly reports
- Develops, implements, and monitors a follow-up system for used-vehicle purchasers.
- Monitor commission sheets for sales personnel to project weekly and monthly forecasting.
- Develops, implements, and monitors a follow-up system for used-vehicle purchasers
- Appraises all incoming pre-owned vehicles.
- Collaborate on wholesaling activities.
- Maintains minimum inventory stocking levels
- Creates weekly buy-lists from data driven decisions
- Attends managers’ meetings.
- Participate in assessing market conditions and sales trends to create an accurate forecast
- Responsible for month-end reporting (Old-Age, Model Breakdown, Physical Inventory)
Physical Requirements
- Able to sit or stand in front of the computer for extended periods of time
- Capacity to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
- Physical capacity to lift 20-30 lbs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in relative field of study i.e. (business administration/Marketing); or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or
- Three to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and leadership skills
- Effective communication abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Aptitude to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
- Capacity to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Proficiency in computing rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Competency in responding effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
- Skills necessary to make effective and persuasive presentations on topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Broad knowledge of all vehicle types.
- Valid driver’s license, eligible to be insurable in accordance with our policy and dealership standards.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
