Salary: Base $50k-$60k, Variable $20k-$25k

Start Date: Mid July. 2025

DealRoom seeks a driven, Boston-based Business Development Representative (BDR) with a winning mindset to join our team in mid-July. The ideal candidate excels in problem-solving, demonstrates ownership, and will thrive in our fast-paced environment.


We value coachability, resilience, and commitment to excellence. As a DealRoom BDR, you'll deploy targeted prospecting strategies, connect with M&A practitioners, and generate quality leads. This role offers significant growth potential in B2B FinTech sales for ambitious individuals ready to make their mark.


No SaaS tech sales experience required – we value all varieties of sales expertise. Must thrive in fast-paced environments and be eager to launch a career in tech sales, with proven track record generating revenue.


Ideal Candidate Profile is Boston-based candidate with:

  • 1+ year of lead generation or sales experience, responsible for hitting numeric goals or quota attainment in a variety of sales roles.
  • A high level of technological proficiency, having used various systems and communication modalities on a daily basis
  • Innate Sales IQ with ability to connect the dots between WHAT they’re doing and WHY they’re doing it
  • Hyper-organized, proactively anticipating Leadership directives and coaching, approaching problems with a solution-oriented lens
  • Strong sense of ownership, organization, and attention to detail, with proven discipline in managing self-paced working blocks to achieve weekly objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Potential Backgrounds: Traditional Sales Experience, Automotive Sales / Rentals, Real Estate, Bartending / Serving, Gym Membership Sales, Hotels & Hospitality,


Responsibilities:

  1. Meet or exceed Weekly Activity Goals
  2. Meet or exceed Monthly Sales Qualified Lead Quota
  3. Meet or exceed Quarterly Revenue Attribution Target
  4. Develop targeted prospect lists in HubSpot CRM database of 100k+ companies, sourcing key decision-makers as needed.
  5. Curate net-new targeted prospect lists from LinkedIn, Grata, CrunchBase and similar sources, growing the CRM database.
  6. Deploy effective prospecting strategies through personalized outreach to high-value companies, utilizing both reactive and cold prospecting methods. This includes a phone-heavy, multi-threaded, omnichannel approach to drive interest in DealRoom.
  7. Qualify prospects based on their current business needs and challenges.
  8. Schedule demonstrations and discovery calls for Account Executives (AE).
  9. Continuously experiment, test, analyze, and improve sourcing, prospecting, and qualification tactics always striving for 1% betterment.
  10. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices to enhance your sales development process.


Qualifications:

  1. A problem-solver with 1+ year(s) of lead generation or sales prospecting experience, demonstrating a strong figure-it-out factor in navigating complex sales environments
  2. An effective communicator with outstanding phone and writing skills, showcasing business acumen through compelling messaging and insightful questioning
  3. Self-motivated and highly organized, with a sense of urgency and persistence
  4. Exceptional self-discipline and autonomy, with strong time management skills.
  5. Genuinely empathetic towards prospects, leveraging active listening skills to understand and address their needs.
  6. Coachable with strong interpersonal and presentation skills, open to feedback and continuously looking for opportunities to improve
  7. Resilient and persistent, with a commitment to win that drives you to overcome obstacles and consistently meet targets
  8. Thirsty for knowledge and growth in a start-up environment, embracing challenges with an analytical mindset
  9. Proactive and solution-oriented, with a sense of urgency that propels you to take ownership of your responsibilities and outcomes

  • HubSpot Sales Software Certification
  • HubSpot Inbound Sales Certification
