Job Description
The responsibilities of the Virtual Design and Construction Specialist are highlighted below:
Operations:
Generate, manage, and assess the project creation process for VBC Studio.
Ensure tracking tools are produced and maintained for project portfolio and project basis.
Provide orientation and training in project and portfolio tracking tools for VBC Studio.
Assist the Director of Design Operations in generating, maintaining, and tracking sub-consultant contracts.
Technology:
Design, implement, and manage BIM project coordination workflow. Including Manuals, templates, and standards applicable to the process.
Assist in developing, implementing, and managing process solutions to improve the efficiency of technology efforts.
Generate and maintain BIM manuals, procedures, and template updates with the direction of the Design Technology Manager.
Create contingency plans to respond to emergencies and manage BIM-related issues.
Support and audit project team and flag non-compliance with the BIM process.
Identify and assess existing risks in the design technology process to develop practical solutions with the Design Technology Manager.
Promote the inclusion of standard office documents in the technology activities.
Interface with design, manufacturing, and construction teams to consolidate a process workflow with the design technology Manager.
Advise and assist the product design team with BIM tools to produce standard documentation, content generation, and team training endeavors.
Assist the Design Technology Manager with the tools the VBC team may need to perform their duties effectively.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Construction or professional degree in Architecture; Master’s Degree preferred.
Engineering, Architecture, Interior Architecture, Construction experience required
BIM proficiency required
Familiar with D&E Contracts preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience required
AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360 proficiency required
Generative design software such as Dynamo and Grasshopper experience preferred
Bluebeam Revu proficiency required
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required
A positive attitude and ability to work well as a team
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Independent problem-solver, appreciate and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Travel expected 3-5 times per year
Additional Information
The Salary Range for this position is $59,000 - $73,450 annual base salary + annual performance bonus. We also off the following benefits:
