Health Director

The Town of Brewster is currently seeking qualified candidates to serve

as our next Health Director. This position performs professional,

supervisory, administrative, technical, and inspection work in planning

and managing the Town\'s public health programs and in enforcing public

health laws and regulations. Duties include but are not limited to

enforcing federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to public

health and environmental protection including Title 5 septic, commercial

and residential building projects, food service, housing and short-term

rentals, beaches, private wells, camps, and pools. Investigate reports

of infectious /communicable disease and food borne illness. Enforces

isolation/quarantines and maintains confidential records and data for

mandatory reporting. Coordinates immunization programs and community

health nursing programs. Represents the Board of Health in department

business and emergencies; attends Board of Health meetings. Responsible

for the overall management of the Board of Health office and staff;

prepares monthly and annual reports, prepares annual department budget.

The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain good public

relations and establish collaborative working relationships with Town

departments, department heads, fellow employees, and the general public.

Bachelor\'s degree in public health, environmental science, or related

field, Master\'s degree preferred, with a minimum of five years related

work experience, with two years of progressive supervisory experience,

or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Personnel Bylaw Agreement, with an annual starting salary range of

\$110,427 - \$124,280, starting salary dependent on qualifications and
