Cuvée Bistro at The Chatham Inn is evolving into a relaxed, approachable coastal bistro with Mediterranean and French influences. A day in the life...

The steward is to clean and maintain equipment and areas such as Dishwashing/ Kitchen/ Cafeteria/ Compactor and Storage according to hotel specifications and standards. Wash pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils and equipment. Assign other cleaning projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, walls, workstations, and equipment.
Ensure all areas are free from debris and hazards.
Properly dispose of waste and recyclables.
Maintain cleanliness in trash disposal areas.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Safely operate and maintain dishwashing equipment.
Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.

Requirements

Who you are…

Experience in a similar position is preferred.
Communicate effectively in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
