Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team in our gorgeous Downtown Boston office! Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive measures, and post-treatment care to enhance long-term health outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical records appropriately.
Monitor vital signs during appointments to identify any health concerns that may impact dental treatment or require medical referral.
Uphold infection control standards through sterilization procedures, proper disposal of sharps, and maintaining a sterile clinical environment.

Skills

Proficiency in dental software systems for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation practices relevant to dental care.
Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in accordance with industry standards.
Ability to perform medical imaging accurately while maintaining patient safety standards.
