6 Month Contract role to cover a Maternity Leave. Mid January 2026 start date. Hybrid-3 days per week required onsite work in Boston. Pay range starting at $90-95/hour with flexibility, depending upon experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Heavy technical accounting work
Global-to-report processes, with a focus on quarter-end reporting
Partnering with FP&A on budgeting and analysis
Preparing complex write-ups for auditors

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Someone who has transitioned out of public accounting (Big 4 experience preferred)
CPA
Strong technical writing skills
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
Life sciences industry experience is a plus (not required to be revenue-generating)

Not a Fit If:

Primary experience is in general ledger or fixed assets

REQUIREMENTS for the Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting Associate Director:

Comprehensive and current understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting principles and regulations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
Experience with implementing new accounting standards.
CPA required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
8 years of progressive financial accounting and reporting experience in Big 4 public accounting firm / public company accounting department or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
